The city of Duluth is just days away from a big presentation on the NorShor Theatre’s progress.
Chief Administrative Officer David Montgomery told FOX 21 Thursday that councilors will see their final project presentation at Monday’s Committee of the Whole meeting before all the deals are signed in September to move forward with construction.
Montgomery says the city never wanted to rush a project this complex.
“We’ve been working to make sure when we do come forward that we are bringing something that’s done right and can carry on through. And that’s the point we are approaching now,” said Montgomery.
In the end, the Duluth Playhouse will manage the theatre.
However, Montgomery says the venue will be open to all types of local organizations in the arts community.
