Comedy Pilot “Old Lifty” Officially Released

Show Creators Look to the Future

The conceptual pilot for a comedy web series set right here in Duluth has now been released for everyone to see.

“Old Lifty” tells the fictional story of Duluth’s first female lift bridge operator.

The show was shot in Duluth, features local landmarks and a mostly local cast.

It’s a project that’s been months in the making.

Now, show director Miles Hanon says the next step is to get people to actually watch it.

“It’s funny. It’s fun. It’s great,” Hanon said. “I think people in Minnesota and the region will love it. I think people will love it nationally. It’s just fun, good stuff.”

“Old Lifty” can be viewed at the Story Front website, or on the Destination Duluth Facebook page.

The show’s creators hope with local and national support the web series could be expanded to more episodes or even a feature-length film.
