Oktoberfest Celebrations Begin at Grandma’s Saloon & Grill

German Food, Beer & Polka Music Take Over Restaurant

German Festivities are taking over Grandma’s Saloon & Grill this weekend.

The fun starts today with the ceremonial keg tapping by Duluth Mayor Emily Larson.

Throughout Sunday there will be live music, contests and German beer and food.

Regional Manager Tony Boen says, “this week we’ve been decorating the restaurant up. We went out near Carlton and collected corn stock and some foliage to decorate.”

Musician Crazy George will be playing polka music Wednesday and Sunday.

He says Oktoberfest brings laughter to people, “Life is supposed to be fun and Oktoberfest brings people together and people have fun and there’s a smile on their faces and it doesn’t get any better than that.”

Grandma’s Saloon & Grill is located in Canal Park at 525 Lake Avenue South, Duluth, MN 55802.
