St. Scholastica Faculty Share their Cuba Trip Experiences
Faculty and students made trip to Cuba in April.
The St. Scholastica Faculty Speaker Series kicked off on campus.
The program featured four faculty members who visited Cuba last April with thirteen graduate students.
The faculty members spoke about a variety of issues related to Cuba including art, the economy, and Cuban government.
The faculty members also looked in-depth at how Cuba is creating an environment where small businesses can grow.
“To be able to have an understanding of the culture and the mindset of openness to other ways of doing things and other cultures is extremely important not just to be successful in business but to also make a difference in our world,” said speaker and faculty member Lynne Hamre.
The series is in its tenth year and it’s free and open to the public.
