‘Last Place on Earth’ Building to Become Brewery
The Brewery Plans to Open End of November
Blacklist has been around since 2012, operating out of a warehouse without a taproom, but that won’t be for long. The Brewery is opening up their new location at the building that was formerly head shop last place on earth.
The building has been closed since 2013, after the Owner of Last Place on Earth, Jim Carlson, was arrested for selling synthetic drugs. But Now, Blacklist Artisan Ales, known for their hand-crafted beers, is transitioning in to the building to make the place an asset to Superior Street.
“It’s great to kind of have a free record of returning this space to a positive element in the community,” said John Loss, a Co-Owner of Blacklist Artisan Ales.
Blacklist plans to have the taproom on the first floor, and to brew the beer in the basement space.
The brewery has been without a home since September, but is hoping to open up their taproom around the end of November.
