Second Arrest Made in Killings of Infant and Man in Minneapolis

First individual arrested was 17-year-old Jquan McInnis

Authorities have made a second arrest in the fatal shooting of a baby and a man near a Minneapolis park.

Police say the 26-year-old man was arrested Tuesday, and formal charges were pending.

Seven-month-old Jayden Eric Redden and 20-year-old Gustav Christianson II were found October 9 in the back seat of a car parked in south Minneapolis. Christianson died at the scene. Jayden died at nearby Children’s Hospital.

Authorities last week charged 17-year-old Jquan McInnis as an adult with first degree murder in the incident.

Police believe Christianson was the target of the shooting. Court documents say McInnis told police he didn’t know Jayden was in the car.
