Superior Fire Department Open House

Community members had the chance to get inside the Superior Fire Department

The community had a chance to get inside the Superior Fire Department today.

The Superior Fire Department held their annual open house, a chance for the community to learn what the fire department does on a daily basis.

The open house included fire station tours, a treasure hunt and 911 call training with a dispatcher.

Technicians were also on hand to help families correctly install child car seats.

“A lot of times people are unaware of what we do and they’ll ask us questions over the course of the year, so we try to keep those questions stored up so we can answer them all at once in an environment that is friendly,” says Superior Fire Department Battalion Chief Scott Gordon.

The fire department was able to show off some of their equipment, including the brand new industrial fire fighting gear.

The open house takes place every October at the main fire station in Superior.
