William Seay

MORNING METEOROLOGIST

William Seay joined the Fox 21 Team in November, 2014 as the Morning Meteorologist for Fox 21 Local News at 7. It was right before he endured the first real winter of his entire life. He continues to bring the Northland their morning forecasts, but contributes to the Northland Uncovered, Active Adventures, and Cooking Connection segments that have become weekly staples of Fox 21 local news in the morning.

He was born in the state of Virginia, but spent most of his life in the picturesque beauty of rural South Carolina. So, if you notice a southern twang in his voice, be sure to thank his mother. She’s a really nice lady.

William studied Broadcast Journalism at the University of South Carolina. Shortly after graduating in 2007, he went to Mississippi State University to get his Master’s Degree in Meteorology and Climatology. It was at Mississippi State that William met and befriended former Fox 21 Chief Meteorologist Jason Sydejko, a friendship that continues to this day. They still give each other epic high fives.

William worked for nearly four years at KQ2 News in St. Joseph, Missouri as the Morning Meteorologist for that station’s program Hometown This Morning.

He brings plenty of forecasting experience to the Northland, and has now braved two Minnesota winters.

When not fully engaged in a forecast, William is an avid fan of music and is a musician himself. He is constantly reading, learning, and laughing really loudly. Above all else, William enjoys new experiences and has a passion for trying things he’s never done before. Be sure to say hello if you see him out and about!
