Presidential Ballot Recount Starts in Wisconsin
Douglas County Has More than 22,000 to Count
Dozens of people are working in shifts for the next week to count more than 22 thousand ballots by hand.
Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein requested the recount, raising millions of dollars for the cause. And though many people question if the recount will make a difference in the results of the election, others believe it’s about integrity, and not necessarily about flipping the results.
“There’s a couple numbers that have changed, but I haven’t analyzed those yet, but we’ll be looking at those after,” said Sue Sandvick, the Douglas County Clerk.
Sandvick believes it will take around 5 to 7 days to finish the recount.
Stein also requested a recount in Michigan and Pennsylvania.
