KYN: Kamloops Restaurant

TWO HARBORS, Minn. –

Kamloops is a part of the Superior Shores resort in Two Harbors.

The views that come from the kitchen with each meal just might rival those of Lake Superior.

“It’s a nice quiet place to get away,” said Jenna Pederson, co-owner.

The restaurant is celebrating its 20th anniversary of serving guests and the public at Superior Shores.

“I think the best part is that we’re family owned and operated. I co–manage this with my husband. I’m taking over from my father. We have a family first approach and we take that approach. Even with our staff and we want to treat you like family,” said  Pederson.

From local spices to taps, Kamloops wants to hook everyone on their great eats.

“We just want to cultivate a feeling of community here,” said Pederson.

“When you do a dish and people are just happy about what they received, that’s the payoff.

Whether it’s tourist season or a wintry weekday, Kamloops has something for everyone.

Kamloops serves everything from the cajun pasta dish called the French Quarter to Friday night fish fires and prime rib.

“I’m not going to say it isn’t crazy some nights because it is. It’s fun if you’re doing it right, you get everything set up, it really goes well,” said Rahko.

Kamloops is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They pride themselves on making nearly everything from scratch.
