WisDOT Issues Two New Specialty License Plates

New designs include Whitetails Unlimited and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation

MADISON – Two new designs are the latest additions to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s offering of specialty license plates.

The two new designs include Whitetails Unlimited and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation artwork.

Purchasing these plates includes a $15 issuance fee and a tax-deductible donation of $25 at each registration renewal.

These specialty plates are available for automobiles; motor homes (annual registration only); light trucks having a gross weight of 4,500, 6,000, or 8,000 pounds, including dual purpose motor homes; and 12,000 pound gross weight farm trucks.

Plates can also be personalized for an additional $15, for the personalized plate fee, which is required each year in addition to the regular annual registration fee.
