Boxers Fight to Knock Out Bullying
Program Helps Educate Youth About Bullying
HIBBING, Minn.- A program in Hibbing is working to knock out bullying
It’s a campaign by Iron Range Boxing to help fight bullying. Youth groups attend a 30-minute class to learn about bullying, and how to stop it. The classes feature different guest speakers. Some of the speakers were bullied in their life, and some were the former bullies. Topics discussed include how to handle bullying situations, and who students can turn to if they need help.
“It’s a reminder to them that they do have the boxing team behind them, and they should have the confidence to stand up, and someone’s going to have their back,” said AJ Grove, Boxing Coach for IRB.
Upon completing the class, the students become honorary pugilists of Iron Range Boxing, and receive a free knock out bullying t-shirt.
