Gronseth Comments on Job Search Endeavors
DULUTH, Minn. – Duluth School Superintendent Bill Gronseth provided a statement about his recent search endeavors stating, “A superintendent search is a long process. In view of the delays and less than positive support of a minority of the board during recent contract negotiations, I thought it would be prudent to explore other opportunities. I didn’t plan to consider other possibilities so soon, but in exploring available positions found them to be worth serious consideration.”
The statement comes after he recently became a finalist for another position within the state.
Gronseth is now a finalist for the District 861 in Winona, Minnesota, according to the La Crosse Tribune.
Just this year he has been a finalist for two other districts in Minnesota including 728 in the Elk River area and 624 in White Bear Lake.
In 2016, districts in Arkansas and Washington state were eyeing him up, and in 2015, two other districts in Minnesota including, district 719 in Prior Lake and Osseo district 279.
Gronseth has been in position since 2012 and his contract with the Duluth School District was renewed at the end of 2016.
