Food Banks Seek Donations in September

Coffee Conversation: Hunger Action Month

DULUTH, Minn. – This month people across the country are doing what they can to help the hungry.

September is annually recognized as Hunger Action Month.

This is meant to encourage people to donate to their local food banks.

Shaye Moris, the Executive Director of Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank, says monetary donations go the farthest.

The food bank has created a calendar residents can download to show different ways to give back.

On September 14, the food bank is giving a behind the scenes tour of the facility.

They are located at 4503 Airpark Boulevard, Duluth and can be reached at (218) 727-5653.
