Animal Answers: Fur Ball Gala to Support Shelter’s Foster Program

Animal Allies Will Host Their Annual Fur Ball Fundraiser Saturday, October 14

DULUTH, Minn. – The countdown is on as cats and dogs prepare to let their owners have a night on the town Saturday, October 14.

Animal Allies Humane Society will once again host their annual Fur Ball Gala from 5:00 until 11:00 p.m.

The event is the shelter’s larges fundraiser of the year.

Marketing and Communications manager Michelle Sternberg says this year they hope to raise over $100,000 dollars.

Money raised will help grow the shelter’s foster care program in 2018.

Sternberg says everyone is welcome to attend.

“The people coming to Fur Ball are from every mix and corner. We’ve got families, we’ve got working professionals, and we have businesses that have sponsored the event,” said Sternberg. “Our foster program makes a huge difference and if we can grow that program our goal next year is actually to double our current number of fosters, and we have 50 right now so our goal is to have 100 foster families.”
