Construction Complete on Moose Lake Road Project

Project Cost $7.5 Million

DULUTH, Minn.- A huge construction project has wrapped up in Moose Lake.

Wednesday, a celebration was held in the downtown area of that city to celebrate a $7.5 million project being completed.

Among the aspects of the new project include a new roundabout that was put in on County Road 10.

Another big change was resurfacing multiple   highways in the area including 27, 73, and 289.

“This is a big plus for the community,” said Ted Shaw, Moose Lake mayor. “It smoothed out the road which was definitely needed.

Construction crew members told Fox 21 that the whole thing should give the community more pride, while relieving some frustration.

“I think it’s beautiful for one thing,” said project supervisor Jim Sorenson. “I think it’s going to cheer everybody’s attitude up and they can relax now after all the months of construction.”

The project also added some new bike lanes to the area, while providing drainage improvements.
