AmeriCorps Wants You to Share Your Experience in Duluth Program
AmeriCorps Hopes Stories Inspire Duluthians
DULUTH, Minn.-The Duluth chapter of AmeriCorps is taking pen to pad to write down experiences other members of the group have had over the years.
It’s all part of a legacy project AmeriCorps members in Duluth are working on to get the word out about what they do. The hope is to also build interest in their dream of redeveloping an abandoned building in Duluth, to house AmeriCorps members.
This project, like many it’s involved in, is all about giving back to the community.
“It’s building community and it’s making community better in a lot of ways that haven’t been exposed,” said Zach Schears, an AmeriCorps member serving the Lincoln Park neighborhood.
The stories are expected to be shared on blogs, audio clips, and possibly a film in the near future.
If you would like to share your experience in AmeriCorps, visit Ecolibrium3 at 2304 W. Superior St. tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
