It's a new type of fundraiser called Funny–Raiser. It's designed to take a lighter approach to raising money for the fight against domestic violence involving women.
The Local Courthouse Safety Act, which was introduced by Sen. Al Franken after the courthouse shooting in Grand Marais, passed with strong bipartisan support Thursday by the Senate Judiciary Committee.
