EVELETH - A man at an Iron Range mine was sent to the hospital Friday morning after the fuel truck he was driving tipped over. The accident happened at the United Taconite's Thunderbird Plant in Eveleth around nine a.m.
The truck landed on the passenger side and left the employee trapped inside.
He was later taken to a Duluth hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
When the truck tipped over it caused a fuel spill which has been contained and clean up efforts are underway.
Crews from Eveleth and Virginia's fire departments and ambulance responded and said the roads were slippery at the time.
