Arrest Made in Trina Langenbrunner Murder Case

CLOQUET - There has been a major development in a Northland cold case.
The Saint Louis County Sheriff's Office said Friday night that authorities in Cloquet arrested Joseph John Courture, 41, of Cloquet, for the murder of Trina Langenbrunner, a mother who was killed on Sept. 3, 2000.
Couture is a level three sex offender who is being held at the St. Louis County Jail on second degree murder and second degree criminal sexual conduct, according to a news release.
He was arrested around 3:30 p.m. Friday without incident.
Authorities will be holding a press conference on the arrest of Langenbrunner's alleged killer on Monday June 18, at 3:30 p.m.
Trina's family issued a statement to authorities saying, "We've been made aware of the arrest and ask that everyone respect our privacy in this difficult time."
