SUPERIOR – Superior P.D., Duluth P.D. and Wisconsin DNR all involved in arrests of four car prowling suspects from Wisconsin Point and Canal Park in Duluth.
On Friday, July 20, 2012, Investigators with the Superior Police Department conducted surveillance on two (2) suspects believed to be involved in the rash of car break-ins over the past two months.
The surveillance brought the investigators to a local motel in Duluth where they contacted Duluth P.D. investigators for their assistance.
After several hours of watching and following the two suspects, they were taken into custody in West Duluth after checking out of one hotel and heading for another.
Those suspects were identified as 26 yr. old Kyle Matthew Dodrill and 24 yr. old Sarah Moselle both from Superior.
Many stolen items were recovered from their vehicle to include, purses, checkbooks, credit cards, electronics, cameras, etc.
It is believed that they are responsible for 20-30 car break-ins over the past two months.
As investigators were dealing with these two suspects in Duluth a Wisconsin DNR officer caught two other adult males breaking into cars on Wisconsin Point.
Those two suspects were identified as 25 yr. old Bradley Irvin Poverud and 33 yr. old Vincent Allen Burnham both from Superior.
Further investigation that afternoon and over the weekend showed that all four suspects have been part of this car prowling operation and had been working together as a team in these thefts.
