FAIRMONT PARK - Artists gathered in an event called “Artists on the Loose” on Saturday to raise money for the Lake Superior Zoo.

More than 100 paintings were shipped to Fairmont Park for community members to enjoy an art sale. Artists from New York, Illinois, Montana, Wisconsin and Minnesota went to support the animals.

“I think that's what pulled on the hearts more than anything else is that animals couldn't do anything about the situation, you know?” said Founder of Frozen heyPhotographers, Jamie Rabold.

The event also included a silent auction, face painting, music and photos with a zoo animal.
