DULUTH – Northland students took what they learned in the classroom to turn their opponents work into rubble.
It’s all part of Lake Superior Colleges 6th annual “Battle of the Bots" Competition.
Fifteen robots from LSC, local high schools and schools from the Iron Range went head to head in a plexiglass arena.
The remote controlled bots were designed and built by the students as a part of their manufacturing program.
"The battle is very exciting,” Lake Superior College Student and competitor Steven Larson said. You take all of your ideas and your hard work and you put them in a cage and put them head to head against some other steel and hopefully you become the winner."
The winner will receive a medal and of course bragging rights.
