SUPERIOR – A political heavy hitter will soon make a high–profile visit to the Northland in just days.Vice President Joe Biden will be at Superior Middle School this Friday.

President Obama’s campaign made the official announcement Tuesday.

The grassroots event will include Biden’s layout of the president's vision for fixing the economy.

"I think it’s a point of community pride that we're getting a visit from the vice president,” Douglas Co. Democratic Party Vice Chair Greg Moore said. "This area has a solid democratic voting tradition and I think that it shows our importance electorally in the state."

The event is free and anybody can attend, but you do need a ticket.
