PROCTOR - A beautiful day to ride a bike as more than 4,000 bikers hit the trails to fight multiple sclerosis on Saturday.
The National MS Society started its 150 mile bike ride from Proctor High School this morning.
Riders headed to White Bear Lake.
The organization raised money for research to help stop the progression of the disease and restore lost function to its victims.
"This year our fundraising goal is three million dollars and that is to support the programs and services for people and families affected by multiple sclerosis and it’s also of course to fund research,” said Marketing and Public Relations Director, Anne Kucera.
The organization is providing 7,000 gallons of water, more than three thousand gallons of Gatorade and 7,000 bananas at rest stops located every 10 miles of the trip.
