ELY - The Forest Service has lifted campfire restrictions in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, after rain has been falling over most of the Superior National Forest.
As of 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, campfires will be allowed in all areas of the BWCA at any time.
Over in northwest Wisconsin, burning restrictions have also been lifted.
This affects portions of Burnett, Douglas, and Washburn Counties.
That was where debris from last summer's windstorm caused fire danger.
