HIBBING - The Hibbing community is showing an overwhelming amount of support after a fire left more than a dozen people without a home.
Brickyard Bar and Grill is collecting basic living essentials for fire victims.
The fire started above the Sportsmen's Cafe on Thursday.
People are bringing in bedding, clothes and even T.V.'s.
Organizers said it all started with a Facebook event that grew to more than 1,200 people in less than 24 hours.
“I mean it’s a family and it’s sad to see them affected like this, there’s people without jobs, there’s people without homes. It’s not just a restaurant that had a fire in it. I mean its devastating, it’s affecting a lot of people and it’s going to for a long time,” Dawn Ricketson, the event organizer, said.
They will be collecting items until the end of the month.
There is also a relief benefit account set up at the Wells Fargo bank in Hibbing if you would like to donate.
