GRAND MARAIS - The Cook County Board of Commissioners reacted to their county attorney's alleged emotional involvement with a 17–year–old girl Tuesday.
At their meeting, the board chair said they were aware Cook County Attorney Tim Scannell has a restraining order filed against him after he allegedly expressed romantic feelings for a minor.
They also voiced concern for the community and those involved, but said the board has very limited authority over elected officials.
One person conveyed concerns about the allegations at Tuesday's meeting.
Meanwhile, a Facebook group dedicated to kicking Scannell out of office has been deleted.
