Dan Hanger joined the FOX 21 News team in October 2010 as the station’s lead 9 p.m. reporter. In August 2011, Dan was promoted to co-anchor for both the 6 and 9 p.m. newscasts. He also played an integral role in the hour-long expansion of the 9 p.m. newscast in September 2011.

Besides anchoring and reporting, Dan focuses on the latest happenings at Northland colleges in a weekly segment called College Connection. He also reports the latest entertainment news in a segment called Weekend Spotlight.

Dan has more than eight years of experience working in television, radio and online journalism. He has worked for several media outlets in Duluth since coming to town in March 2006, including KBJR-TV and KDLH-TV.

Dan loves to tell stories that affect every-day people, and he hopes his unique style of storytelling and anchoring engages you, the viewer, in a way that’s interesting and informative.
