DEDA Updated on Norshor Theatre Progress

DULUTH-The Duluth Economic Development Authority (DEDA) got an update on the Norshor Theatre's progress on Wednesday night.
A representative of Sherman Associates told DEDA the project's estimated construction cost, $12 million, could be five percent higher than the true cost.
It's good news for the theatre that was recently assigned its architect.
"Next week their engineering team is going to be here with three individuals,” Brian Gorecki, with Sherman Associates, said. “They're going to be here for two days to literally crawl around the building. That's when we're really trying to figure out the mechanical, the electrical, the plumbing those critical aspects."
DEDA also discussed incentives for AAR Aircraft Services including a downtown lease valued at $350,000.
