SUPERIOR - Due to heavy rainfall received Thursday afternoon the Douglas County Highway Department is issuing a traveler's advisory for Douglas County.

Please be on the look out for flash flooding and water over topping the roadway. Reports have been received that several county and town roads have been overtopped and are washing out. The Highway Department reports that they will be closing all affected roads as necessary.

Motorists are urged to use caution and seek alternate routes if they approach roadways that have become water covered.

If you encounter high water do not drive through it.
