DULUTH - The Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra now has a new leader.
A review of 130 candidates was whittled down to just one, Dirk Meyer, for the position of their new music director.
Board members chose him because of his musicianship and vision for their future.
"I think one of the things that we really want to work on is to broaden our audience, reach new audiences while at the same time we're of course trying to keep our core patrons happ," said Meyer.
He'll take over as director during the 2013-2014 season.
