TOWN OF SUPERIOR - A Superior man was accidentally shot and killed while hunting Monday night according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Department.

Family and friends have told FOX 21 that the victim is Garrett Carr. 

They said Carr was a father and grew up in Superior.

Officials say they were dispatched to the incident at 5:02 p.m. near County Rd. W. and Barnes Rd.

They say the victim died on the scene as a result of his injury.

The incident is still under investigation.
