DULUTH - A so–called glitzy Hollywood fundraiser happened in Duluth Tuesday.
Eight District Congressional candidate Jeff Anderson held the luncheon at Zeitgeist Arts Cafe.
Maria Bamford, a graduate of Marshall High School was on hand.
She's been in movies, television shows and was the face of those holiday Target commercials.
Anderson says the point of all of this is to stay true to the roots of the Eighth District.
"The support I have, the money I raise comes from right here. So, it's great to have homegrown talent like Maria to help me raise that money,” said Anderson.
Anderson invited former Baywatch star and Duluthian Gena Lee Nolin, as well as actress Jessica Biel who was born in Ely.
They were unable to attend.
