While drinking water is safe across the Northland, some of our beaches are not.
The Minnesota Dept. of Health says you should avoid contact with water at the Lake Walk Beach in Canal Park and the Sky Harbor Parking Lot Beach on the Harbor side.
Official saying the flash-flooding event this week has created high levels of bacteria at those beaches.
However, all Park Point beaches are safe to swim in at this time.
