DULUTH - Carlton County Attorney Thomas Pertler was officially charged in St. Louis County Court Thursday with seven charges stemming from an alleged DWI on Tuesday.

The charges include a gross misdemeanor of refusing to submit to a chemical test, and six misdemeanors including operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, speeding, failure to drive in a single lane, failure to signal for a turn, open bottle, and failure to carry proof of insurance.
