DULUTH - People that went out to the annual Thanksgiving Buffet at the DECC were given more than just food on their plate.
Between 800 and 1,000 admission passes to the Great Lakes Aquarium were also handed out.
The passes were valid for a visit Thursday only, and while people from the aquarium give them out at other events throughout the year, they said the Thanksgiving event is the most special.
"This particular event really reaches out to a group of people in Duluth that I think really would enjoy having the chance to go to the aquarium but otherwise probably couldn't afford to do so," Great Lakes Aquarium Executive Director Jack LaVoy said.
It was the sixth year the Thanksgiving tickets have been given away.
