SUPERIOR - Superior's rotary club celebrated its centennial anniversary with the unveiling of a project three years in the making.
The city of Superior, the sister city commission and the rotary club helped create a friendship garden to celebrate the city's relationship with Ami–Machi, Japan.
The sister city was chosen in the mid–1990's because of its similar population and location.
"This is to share world peace, service and friendship and of course rotary's main basic tenent is service above self," said Warren Bender, president of the Superior Rotary Club 40.
The garden contains Japanese cherry and maple trees and elements of traditional Japanese gardens.
