Greg Chandler joined the Fox 21 News Team in May of 2008 as the Weekend Sports Anchor / Reporter. In October 2010 Greg was promoted to Sports Director.
Greg came to FOX 21 from WBOY, the NBC / ABC Affiliate in Clarksburg West Virginia. In his nearly four years in West Virginia, Greg had the chance to cover what has been called "The Golden Age of WVU Sports." Greg covered the Mountaineers at the Gator Bowl, the NCAA Basketball Tournament, the National Invitational Tournament, and the NCAA Soccer Tournament; as well as coaches Rich Rodriguez, John Beilein, and Bob Huggins.
A native of Buffalo New York, Greg started his career as a Broadcast Journalist in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged, he then attended Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
Greg has interviewed a number of prominent sports figures, including NBA legend Jerry West; as well as coaches Urban Meyer, Jim Boeheim, Jim Calhoun and Rick Pitino.
Greg has followed the UMD Bulldogs to three titles; 2008 Football Team, 2010 Women’s Hockey, and 2011 Men’s Hockey.
