HAYWARD - A Hayward man charged with felony hit and run involving a death for striking and killing a woman on her motorcycle pleaded guilty Wednesday. Twenty-nine year old Jacob Collins was in court and had two other charges against him dropped after entering his plea.
Court documents state he was driving on Highway 77 just outside of Hayward when he hit 30-year-old Kristi Kivi of Ironwood, Michigan.
Court documents show his mother took Collins to her house in the Twin Cities to hide him and he was planning to go to Canada or Alaska.
He'll be sentenced in April.
