Juvenile in Custody After Allegedly Stabbing Man

DULUTH - On Thursday, November 29th, 2012 at 8:44 PM Duluth Police responded to a male being stabbed in the #10 block of North 65th Avenue West.
Officers located a 54 year old male victim with a stab wound to his stomach.
Initial investigation revealed the victim had confronted a juvenile male who was driving a snowmobile in the alley behind his house.
A struggle ensued and friends of the juvenile came out of a nearby garage.
The victim swung an object at the juveniles, possibly striking one of them.
One of the juveniles then pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the stomach.
The victim was transported to Essentia St. Mary's Hospital to treat his injury.
He is in stable condition.
A 17 year old juvenile male was taken into custody and transported to the Arrowhead
Juvenile Center pending formal charges of 2nd Degree Assault.
