DULUTH - Northland kids got their hands on affordable Christmas gifts Saturday.
The Little Elves Store offered kids a chance to buy their own gifts that cost them between a nickel and 75 cents.
Organizers said the money was collected for local food shelves, Animal Allies and Toyland Express.
"They're so excited to be giving at Christmas that it's not just about 'what I'm going to get' anymore and that's a real important lesson to us and we like that," owner of Lots for Tots Brenda Gilbert-Anderson said.
All of the gifts were bought from a rummage sale donated or hand crafted.
