DULUTH - Senator Amy Klobuchar spent Saturday talking about the
Eighth District as well as domestic violence.
In a push to renew the federal "Violence against Women Act",
Klobuchar decided visiting a cornerstone to domestic violence prevention needed
to happen.
"I've used Duluth as an example on several occasions,
because Duluth was on the cutting edge of new ways to combat domestic violence,”
says Klobuchar, “and so this is another opportunity, we're confident the house
will take it up and we'll get the bill done".
The bill, renewed with bipartisan support since 1994, reached a
partisan roadblock this year.
