DULUTH - The 148th has welcomed home the last group of airmen who were deployed to Afghanistan. While deployed, nearly 300 "bulldogs" of the 148th Fighter Wing were responsible for supporting more than one thousand flights, from August to October in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

This was the wing's fourth major overseas deployment.

The fighter wing still has a dozen airmen deployed throughout southwest asia in support of contingency missions.
