DULUTH - The "Vote Yes for Parks and Libraries" committee met in Morgan Park on Monday to talk about how the referendum has improved area parks.
Some of the results have been the creation of a new youth program and the development of a mini master plan for Morgan Park.
More people are also using the library.
Duluth city officials say the referendum passing means a lot to the community.
"This is a way of us permanently taking care of our parks fund long term, so that way if there is another cut of the budget our parks are still protected" said Duluth City Councilor Dan Hartman.
The vote yes committee also donated $1,141.39 to the Duluth Legacy Endowment Fund for parks and library services.
