Magnetation Pays For Air Quality Violations

KEEWATIN - An Iron Range company will have to pay for its pollution.
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency reached an agreement with Magnetation, LLC following an investigation into state air quality violations near its Keewatin mining facility.
The company agreeed to take steps to prevent future violations, conduct air quality monitoring, and determine whether it should obtain a state air quality permit.
Magnetation will also pay a $40,000 fine.
Magnetation violated state dust emission limits in 2010 and 2011.
