DULUTH - Alcohol is believed to be a factor though in a crash near Lester River Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened around one o'clock on the 5000 block of Lester River Road in Lakewood Township.
Fifty-six year old Richard Pohjola crashed into a power pole causing it to dangle.
Witnesses say Pohjola got out and appeared dazed and then walked into the woods.
St. Louis County Sheriff's Deputies arrived on the scene and their K-9 unit tracked him down along a nearby road.
He was uninjured, but failed field sobriety tests and refused an intoxilyzer test.
He's now facing charges for second degree dui and second degree test refusal, as well as driving with a license that had been cancelled inimical to public safety.
