ST. PAUL - Police are warning teens to avoid becoming a deadly statistic during this prom and high school graduation season.
Minnesota Department of Public Safety says traffic deaths are the leading killer of teens.
There were 346 teen traffic deaths between 2001 and 2010.
Authorities say teens aren't buckling up and they're taking risks behind the wheel. Parents are urged to talk to their teens about driving laws and always provide a safe ride.
