DULUTH - Minnesota's Speaker of the House is calling for the resignation of Representative Kerry Gauthier after police reports linked him to a sexual encounter with a 17– year– old boy.

Kurt Zellers released his request in a statement Friday evening.

He says Gauthier and the Democratic caucus have had enough time to address the situation, and that his actions are not "becoming of a member of the House of Representatives."

Fox 21 was not able to reach Representative Gauthier Friday.
