DULUTH - The community rocked out Sunday to help a young woman in need. More than one thousand people came out to Mr. D's in West Duluth in support of a young woman battling cancer.
Nicole Seguin has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and family and friends are rallying to help with her increasing medical bills and expenses.
Jeff Arnovich of Twin Ports Night Life, who helped organize the event said of the event, "A friend of ours, through the music community, his daughter needed some help. Cancer strikes everybody, we all know somebody, so we got a group together and instead of a three–hour benefit, we'd run a day–long event."
Cindy Seguin, Nicole's mother, was touched by all of the help.
"I'm very overwhelmed by the support from the musical community. Our friends, area businesses. It's been a wonderful event, i'm very excited about tonight," said Cindy.
With the success of Sunday night's event organizers hope to continue the tradition and raise money for other's battling cancer in the future.
